Equipment

  • Slow Cooker

Ingredients

  • 600-750 g Pork tenderloin Sliced thinly
  • 3 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1.5 tbsp Red wine vinegar
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tbsp Dried oregano
  • 0.5 tbsp Dried thyme
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • pinch Salt
  • pinch Dried chilli flakes

For later

  • 4 Flatbreads
  • 200 g Tzatziki
  • 200 g French fries
  • Red onion Thinly sliced
  • 2 Tomatoes Sliced, seeds removed
  • Lettuce Chopped

Instructions

  • Combine all of the slow cooker ingredients listed above and stir well.
  • Cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 5-6.

For later

  • Ahead of time prepare any ingredients that you want to include in your gyros. For us, this means cooking fries and chopping vegetables. It may include making Tzatziki if you're using a homemade recipe.
  • Place warm flatbread on a square of foil or baking paper. Assemble your wrap with the pork and your toppings. Fold the flatbread over in half and use the foil or paper to wrap the bottom half of the wrap up.
